However, it has still survived in English, especially in books and papers of natural science. Many English words are derived from classical languages, ancient Greek and Latin. In this paper, I outlined the history of Latin and the structure of academic terms. Then, I listed English irregular plurals derived from Latin, which are often used in natural science, and examined the time they were introduced into English. As a result, I found out that most of the English irregular plurals originated from the plural forms of subjective nouns in Latin, and were introduced into English between the 16th and 17th centuries. In the 18th century, English was grammatically established as language. At the same time, the influence of Latin on English waned, while English increased its popularity as an international language.","subitem_description_type":"Other"}]},"item_10_description_5":{"attribute_name":"抄録","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_description":"ラテン語は現在、死語といわれている。しかし今も英語、特に自然科学分野の書物や文献の中で生き続けている。英語の多くは古典語、すなわち古典ギリシャ語やラテン語に由来しているといわれている。今回、まずラテン語の歴史および学術用語の構造について概説した。そして、自然科学分野の英単語に多く残っているラテン語由来の英語の不規則な複数形を取り上げ、英語への導入年代を調べた。その結果、多くの不規則な複数形は、ラテン語の主格名詞の複数由来で、16~17世紀に英語に導入されたものであることがわかった。18世紀には英語の文法が確立し、国際語として英語が拡大するのに伴い、ラテン語の影響力は衰えていった。"}]},"item_10_publisher_8":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"長崎国際大学"}]},"item_10_source_id_11":{"attribute_name":"書誌レコードID","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"AA11766493"}]},"item_10_source_id_9":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"1346-4094"}]},"item_10_subject_25":{"attribute_name":"Keyword","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"Latin, Old English, Roman Empire, Romance languages, plural, technical term","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"}]},"item_10_version_type_20":{"attribute_name":"著者版フラグ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_version_resource":"http://purl.org/coar/version/c_ab4af688f83e57aa","subitem_version_type":"AM"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorAffiliations":[{"affiliationNameIdentifiers":[{"affiliationNameIdentifier":"","affiliationNameIdentifierURI":"http://www.isni.org/isni/"}],"affiliationNames":[{"affiliationName":"","affiliationNameLang":"ja"}]}],"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"平井, 美津子","creatorNameLang":"ja"},{"creatorName":"ヒライ, ミツコ","creatorNameLang":"ja-Kana"},{"creatorName":"HIRAI, Mitsuko","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"familyNames":[{"familyName":"平井","familyNameLang":"ja"},{"familyName":"ヒライ","familyNameLang":"ja-Kana"},{"familyName":"HIRAI","familyNameLang":"en"}],"givenNames":[{"givenName":"美津子","givenNameLang":"ja"},{"givenName":"ミツコ","givenNameLang":"ja-Kana"},{"givenName":"Mitsuko","givenNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2022-05-14"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"RN13-001.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"391.6 kB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_11","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"RN13-001","url":"https://niu.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/838/files/RN13-001.pdf"},"version_id":"a37fd581-1494-4e2e-b46f-3dd640e1db18"}]},"item_keyword":{"attribute_name":"キーワード","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"ラテン語"},{"subitem_subject":"古英語"},{"subitem_subject":"ローマ帝国"},{"subitem_subject":"ロマンス諸語"},{"subitem_subject":"複数形"},{"subitem_subject":"学術用語"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"jpn"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper"}]},"item_title":"学術用語におけるラテン語の影響についての研究","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"学術用語におけるラテン語の影響についての研究"},{"subitem_title":"The Study on the Influence of the Latin language on English Technical Terms","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"10","owner":"3","path":["24"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"公開日","attribute_value":"2015-04-01"},"publish_date":"2015-04-01","publish_status":"0","recid":"838","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["学術用語におけるラテン語の影響についての研究"],"weko_creator_id":"3","weko_shared_id":3},"updated":"2023-10-28T06:53:21.930319+00:00"}
