This is especially true during the early modern English period when a great number of words including technical terms were introduced directly from Latin. In this paper, I focused on the adjective forms of technical terms, particularly medical terms in English, and investigated their etymology and the year in which they appeared in English for the first time. As a result, I found out that about 85% of total words(476 adjectives)was derived from Latin.
