| 内容記述 | ヴェネツィアは、その大小無数の運河とその運河を行き来するゴンドラや、サン・マルコ大聖堂やリアルト橋などの印象深い観光資源によって、他に類を見ない、世界的に知られている観光都市である。そしてこのヴェネツィアと周辺の潟は、その文化的価値が評価されて1987年に世界遺産に登録されている。しかしながらその後は観光地化が加速し、来訪者が激増した。また大型クルーズ船が多数寄港するようになり、気候変動の要素も相まって、世界遺産として保持すべき環境の悪化が懸念された結果、2021年と2023年の二度にわたって危機遺産登録の勧告を受けてしまったのであった。 本稿は、世界遺産に登録された後のヴェネツィアにどのような事象が発生してきたのか、その経緯と理由を概観した上で、観光都市ヴェネツィアの今後を展望し、課題の提示を試みるものである。 |

| 内容記述 | Venice is a unique and world-renowned tourist city, distinguished by its countless large and small canals and the many gondolas going, as well as its impressive tourism resources such as St. Mark’s Basilica and the Rialto Bridge. Venice and its lagoon were registered as a World Heritage list in 1987 in recognition of their extraordinary architectural value. Since then, however, the city has accelerated its transformation into a tourist destination, and the number of visitors to the city has increased dramatically. In addition, many large cruise ships began to call at the port. and also combined with climate change factors, led to concerns about the deterioration of the environment that should be preserved as a World Heritage, then as a result, the city was twice recommended for listing as a World Heritage in Danger, in 2021 and 2023. This study attempts to present an overview of how and why the events have occurred since Venice was inscribed on the World Heritage List, and then looks at the future of tourist city Venice and attempts to present the issues. |
